Birds of Paradise resemble a brightly colored bird in flight and represent joyfulness and (not surprisingly) paradise itself. They are distinctive and striking, spectacularly shaped like a bird's beak. The stem is about 24 inches long.

Birthday bouquet.

I had ordered a tropical bouquet to have shipped to So. California for a birthday surprise. The flowers were shipped quickly and the recipient sent me a photo of the flowers in a vase the next day. I was disappointed that all of the components that I ordered were not in the bouquet. I contacted Blooms of Hawaii and they quickly corrected the problem. I found the staff to be very communicative and willing to make sure we were satisfied. The flowers that were received appeared to be very fresh.
